At ConsulPsych, a standard individual session is approximately 50 minutes in duration. Rates vary depending on the psychologist’s qualifications, experience and contractual obligations with funding bodies.
Individual face to face and Telehealth sessions
All of our psychologists are registered with Medicare.
Upon receipt of a Mental Health Treatment Plan (previously known as a 'Mental Health Care Plan') prepared by a General Practitioner, clients are potentially eligible for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year. Please note, that this is subject to change pending government regulations.
The standard cost per session with a clinical psychologist is $210 per session. Under the Medicare Better Access Scheme, clients receive a rebate of $131.65.
The standard cost per session with a generalist psychologist is $170. Under the Medicare Better Access Scheme, clients receive a rebate of $89.65.
We offer reduced rates for clients experiencing financial hardship or who present with a pension and/or healthcare card. Please contact us for more information.
Group sessions
ConsulPsych offers group treatments that are available at different times throughout the year. Pending modality, groups run for different lengths of time and thus costs vary. Medicare provides up to $32.60 rebate per session.
The psychologists at ConsulPsych are able to provide services for clients funded by Worksafe, TAC, Victims of Crime, NDIS, the majority of private health insurers, Open Arms and other funding bodies. For more information, please feel free to contact us.
